An amalgamation of two previously published but separate volumes about growing vegetables, this book offers scientific information on sowing, planting, feeding, watering, weed control, pest management, soil management and crop management. Gardening is usually considered to be an art, however the authors consider that "green fingers" can be achieved by using modern scientific research.
